JAMES B. COLLINS MEMORIAL FUND
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Objective

The Scholarship Program within the James B. Collins Memorial Fund, Inc. (JBCMF) recognizes graduating high school seniors for academic achievement and community service. It provides financial assistance to help deserving students accomplish their future educational goals. The JBCMF does this in recognition of the continuing need to promote higher education for future generations.

Recognition

JBCMF was established in 2009 to honor the life of Mr. James B. Collins. He was employed with the U. S. Navy in Millington, TN. He excelled in the field of financial management and was a mentor to many. Mr. Collins was an advocate for education and continual professional development. He never sought to gain recognition, but appreciated it when he was recognized. As a way of honoring his life and love for education, the JBCMF established the Scholarship program in his name to give deserving high school seniors the opportunity to attend schools of higher learning.

This is a one-time award. Written evidence of college

acceptance, admittance or enrollment is required before disbursement of the scholarship check(s). The award presentations and names of scholarship recipients may be publicized at JBCMF meetings, in newsletters, press releases and at www.jamesbcollinsmemorialfund.org.
